Core Values, and
Membership Criteria

  1. We believe the Bible is inspired by God , infallible and inerrant. The Bible is the voice of God in our lives and is to be fully obeyed. It is the foundation of the church and we will always go back to the Bible in every decision we make.
    2 Timothy 3:16-17, Ephesians 2:19-21

  2. We believe in God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit, and the Lordship of Jesus in our lives. Jesus died on the cross for our sins and in return we have made him Lord of our lives. Our faith and our relationship with God are pursued personally by every member.
    Acts 2:22-24, vs.36

  3. We believe in the plan of salvation as found in Acts 2:36-41. Every disciple must first believe, confess, repent and be baptized for the forgiveness of sin and all who so respond receive the Holy Spirit. All of these elements are a necessary part of our membership.
    1 Corinthians 12:12, Romans 6:3-7

  4. We believe that disciples of Jesus form God’s church; the family of God . All members of the Cincinnati Church of Christ must be baptized disciples defined by a lifestyle of devotion to and love for the body of Christ, discipleship, holiness and sacrificial living.

    Matthew 28:18-20, Luke 19:10, 1 Timothy 2:3-4

  6. We believe as a church that we must reflect the love and mercy of God. God is merciful and as recipients of His love and mercy we must demonstrate mercy to those around us. We are committed to forgiving one another as God forgave us. We believe that individually and as a church family we must help the poor and needy first in our church, then in our community, and around the world.
