It’s the final countdown. In less than 24 hours, the Cincinnati Church building will complete its transformation into a medieval castle for the Teen Ministry’s Prom, “Knights in White Satin.” Over 100 teens and their guests from throughout the Midwest are expected to attend.
The prom committee and dozens of volunteers have been putting in hours of time preparing for what promises to be an amazing night of entertainment. The event will include pictures, a catered dinner, and a dance. But when the dance ends at 11 p.m. the fun will just be beginning.
From 11:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m. the lock-in festivities begin. There will be a variety of games, a 60's-70's coffee shop with live entertainment, a casino, and karaoke. Lights out occurs from 4 to 8 a.m. so everyone can catch a few winks. A communion breakfast will be served at 8:30, and everyone should be on their way home by 9:30.
The church’s regular service starts at 10:00 a.m. as usual, but don’t be surprised if there are a few knights still lurking in the shadows!
