Brian Perkins and the Detroit church are anticipating an invigorating and fun time here this fall. The theme is "A Heart for God" and we have an awesome schedule of events planned, sure to bring glory to God and remind us all of our need and desire for our great Father in heaven.
Please put this event on your calendar and notify your congregations should they like to attend. Again, the conference is planned for Oct 7-9, beginning with a Leader's Session (for all Family Group and Bible Talk leaders, deacons, elders, etc.) Friday afternoon. The kick-off will be at 7pm with Mike Fontenot as our keynote speaker.
Saturday will be filled with classes and plenty of time for fellowship and building family. But the best part, I believe, will be our hour and a half Praise and Worship time Saturday evening. I can't wait to sing my heart out to God with Brothers and Sisters from all over the ACR, midwest, and east coast! We also have fun activities planned for both Friday and Saturday evening, including a Masquerade Dance and a Jazz and Motown Mingle. Friday night will be a concert for campus and teens.
The conference will conclude with Sunday services. Please note that while Kingdom Kids will be provided on Sunday (for 0-5 year olds only), family groups are encouraged to work out a rotation to watch their children (0-5 years old) during Friday evening and Saturday activities. A room will be provided.
